Ski-resort Harrachov

Harrachov is one of the oldest mountain towns in Czech, with rich history in sports of all kinds. Sportovni Areal is running all chair lifts and is one of the most important companies in Harrachov.

Ski Area

Harrachov is one of the most beautiful winter resorts in Czech Republic and is ideal for downhill skiing and snowboarding. There are ski runs suitable for all age groups as well as all levels of riders.

There are 2 chair lifts, that can take you to the peak of Certova Hora:

Harrachov - Certova Hora (Delta) - is running from Town of Harrachov

Ryzoviste - Certova Hora (Alfa) - is running from Ryzoviste, which is on the other side of the hill

There are four runs in Harrachov with different steepness and suitable for all abilities. Red slope, that comes back to town is one of the best runs for carving you could find in Czech. It is quite mellow up on top, hen it turns into steep part and then mellow again. It is best in the morning, when freshly groomed. then there are three slopes, that end on the other side of the hit, at Ryzoviste. Black slope is very steep and suitable for advanced skiers and riders. Red slope is in the middle, pretty wide and has nice pitch to it. Suits intermediate to advanced riders. Blue slope is very mellow at the beginning and goes across he hill and back. Bottom part could be little tricky for beginners, since you have to traverse to the chair lift. This run is suitable for advanced beginners.

The best slope for first timers is at the bottom of the hill in town. There is one surface lift and the run is wide and mellow enough for beginners. There is also night skiing here.

All runs in Harrachov are equipped with snow making.

For Cross country skiing enthusiasts, there are couple options as well. There are couple of circuits at the bottom of the hill in the forrest, well maintained. You can also the up the chair lift and then follow the route to Dvoracky, the original cottage on top of Rokytnice, where you can have a good meal before heading back down to Harrachov. You can also start by Mumlava falls and head up from there, you can visit Vosecka bouda or Labska bouda. From there you can go towards Spindleruv Mlyn, biggest ski resort in Czech Republic.

Summer Activities

Chair lifts in Harrachov are running also in the summer. You can hop on even with your bike or stroller. The view from top of the mountain is quite stunning and it is a great starting point for longer trips.
