Traditional Handmade Production
First written notice about Harrachov Glassworks is from 1712, but it had to be way before when the glass making craft settled in here. Novosad & Syn, how it’s called today is the second oldest glasswork in Czech Republic and they remain to make glass the traditional way.
As a tourist, you can take an excursion trough the factory, see the original way of blowing glass. You can visit 100 years old glass cutting department and even blow your own piece of glass.
There are two stores in the building, where you can buy anything you want from local production. There is also Glass Museum nearby and you can finish your day at the restaurant and brewery, which is part of the factory now.
