You can not visit Harrachov without visiting Mumlava Waterfall! It is one of the largest one in Czech Republic. It is accessible your round and you can be sure that every time you’ll see it, it will look slightly different.
Unique Natural Beauty
One of the best spots to visit in the whole Krkonose National Park. Unique waterfall is 10 meters tall and 10 meters wide. Carved out of single piece of granite by rushing water. Waterfall is different every time you’ll see it. Different amount of water in the river makes it quite unpredictable. In the winter, it is completely frozen over, but you can still hear the water rushing down under the ice. In the spring, when the snow melts, the stream is strongest. Water is so loud, you can barely hear someone speak and the force of the water is brutal. In the summer, water just trickles down, you can jump into the river and cool down, it is very peaceful then.
Popular Tourist Target Makes it Great Starting Point For Longer Trips
Mumlava Waterfall could be great destination, but also solid starting point for longer trips. There is an asphalt route right along the river, that you can use for walking as well as biking. There are many more destinations further up like Vosecka bouda, Pramen Labe, Labska Bouda, Ruzencina zahradka or Polish Szrenicza.
