Harrachov is surrounded by beautiful nature and offers couple extraordinary ways how to explore nature little closer. One very unique way is from a perspective of a bee.

This journey starts at Harrachov’s main bus station, follows the route towards Ryzoviste and Lesni Zatisi and finishes right by Pension Renata. On 3.5 km long track, you can learn about life of a bee. The way they build their honeycombs, you will learn about different techniques used to build bee hives and honey making. You will also learn about different shapes and construction methods of a bee hive, trough the history. There are authentic specimens build out of hay and other thing available at the time. You will be able to smell bee’s wax as well as honey.

Whole track is on maintained, hard road, therefore is suitable for cyclists, families, moms with strollers and so on.

You will be able to explore bee hives at station 4, 6 and 11 completely without fear of being stung. If you want to peak into hives with live bees inside, you will have to be more careful! Obviously, bees will be guarding their hive, therefore is better to approach from behind. Do not make rapid movements, keep quiet, don’t eat or drink around. You are dealing with living organism and you are well within their reach.
