Karpacz - the pearl of Polish Giant Mountains

Discover the second part of the Giant Mountains, perhaps by an unusual visit to Karpacz.

Below the highest mountain Sněžka, on its other (Polish) side is a spa town and ski resort Karpacz. This mountain resort has a tradition dating back to the early 17th century. Tourism, which is here for more than a century is perfectly illustrated in Museum of Sports and Tourism. Great local attraction is also the church Wang, which was transferred there from Norway. Even in the summer months there is a cableway in operation, it takes visitors to Kopa peak(1377 m), from where is the easiest walk to reach Sněžka from the Polish side in summer. Reasonable recreational adrenalin can also provide summer toboggan run or Alpine bobsleigh.

Amusement of the recent years is to swim in one of the most modern water parks in Poland. It is Sandra Waterpark, which includes swimming pools with water temperature up to 35 degrees, the water world, artificial sea waves, a sauna and a snow cave. Many types of massages will certainly help you to regenerate your body.

The most famous Giant Mountains Polish mountain resort is easily accessible from Harrachov, approximately less than an hour away by car. Before visiting the neighbouring parts of the mountains do not forget to take valid travel documents and it also helps to exchange smaller amount of Polish currency zloty.
