Mumlava Waterfall
Mumlava Waterfall – natural gem of Harrachov is 1.5 km from the town centerIt's not nearly the biggest one in Czech with it's 10 meters in height, though it's one of the most beautifull and mostly visited one. We are talking about Mumlava Waterfall.
Although it is not located directly in Harrachov, i tis fairly easy to get there. From Harrachov bus station, around hunting exposition Sindelka you will take blue tourist path towards Vosecka Bouda. Vehicles are rare here and they are aloved here only with a special pass. On the way to the waterfall, there is special kids path, where you can explore life of an ordinary fox. On the way from the waterfall you can take another path towards Mining museum.
Above the waterfall there are giant pots in the river made by small rocks, constantly moving on the bottom of the river bed. They are called „Devil's eyes" by locals for ages. Waterfall itself takes whole river bed and offers spectacular wiew especially in the spring time during the snow melt it really is giant.
You can refresh yourself nearby in the Mumlava restaurant or in the Cottage „U lišáka". There are also many bike routes around Harrachov and Mumlava waterfall.
